Closer than the First Row
About Opening Night Capital, LLC
If you are passionate about theater, have risk capital, and are an accredited or sophisticated investor, then read on.
Have you always wanted to be “closer than the first row”? Do you dream of being part of a team that mounts a professional theatrical production?
Opening Night Capital, LLC, is the first and only securities broker of its kind, founded for the express purpose of raising capital for theater and selected films. Its charter is to tap new sources of capital for Broadway, London and other theater centers, as well as selected films worldwide. Most appropriately, Opening Night Capital is located in the heart of New York’s thriving theater district where it has its fingers on Broadway’s pulse every day.
Our Investing Philosophy
Opening Night Capital offers investments in multiple upcoming Broadway productions, and plans to expand to London and other theater centers around the world. The firm’s principal, Ruben Brache, a Broadway and Off Broadway producer himself, has long-standing ties with many of Broadway’s top producers and has begun forging agreements to raise capital for a number of Broadway-bound shows.
Broadway is a high risk investment with high potential reward; history tells us that only 20-25% of Broadway shows recoup their investments. Broadway shows are almost always private placements, a type of security that is highly illiquid, highly speculative, and, as such, investors must be prepared to lose their entire investment.
If you as an accredited or sophisticated investor have always wanted to participate in the joy and the excitement of the bright lights of Broadway (or the glamour of the silver screen), please register to keep up with various Broadway-bound productions as they travel towards “the Great White Way.”
